The Project Scope
Property owner with a lovely back garden had one large and one small shed that had been lovingly cared for over the last 25 years being well preserved and maintained. Sadly, time got the better of them and each had become rotten and was letting in the elements.
We were tasked with the demolition and removal of the structures and replace with one medium sized structure and was asked to give the space a general tidy up and make over.
The Before Shots
Challenges we Faced
We found 25 years worth of old lawnmowers and other long forgotten waste behind the shed along with so much vegetation and growth to clean away and make tidy. This collection of items and vegetation had partially destroyed the fence behind which we were then asked to make good.
The original larger shed had a heavy duty partial oak workbench, which for sentimental reason, had to be kept. This proved a real challenge as it was larger than the shed opening so we had to build the shed around it! (pic 7 below)
The new shed provider delivered the shed incomplete with two small panels missing. We had to create temporary panels (see image 9 below) from the best of the original shed timber as the provider had a 2 week lead time for delivery.
The During Shots
The End Product
Once the junk and vegetation was cleared and the shed was built, we coated it with 3 coats of Ronseal shed and fence paint, installed a high end lock and returned the contents back inside
We supplied and installed the guttering and a replacement water butt to make things look nice and tidy and hand made a water butt stand so that the client could easily stand a watering can underneath.
The replacement panels arrived a couple of weeks later and we returned and replaced the temporary ones we made.
